Bike Parking is Back!

In-person events large and small are seeing renewed attendance, and SVBC’s Bike Parking program is undergoing an epic comeback after the 2020 hiatus. You’re invited to the fun!

Whether you ride your bike to community events and park at one of our corrals, or you volunteer to supervise bikes while the event takes place – read on for some more info about what you can expect from a day spent at a bike corral, and why SVBC’s bike parking program is so important.

Clipboards and bike racks in tow, SVBC staff and volunteers show up to community events across Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to provide designated bike parking areas for event-goers arriving on two wheels. Our pop-up, on-demand infrastructure fills in the existing gaps in local bikeability.

At every event, the bike parking team welcomes guests who arrive brimming with glee at the following benefits of parking their bike with SVBC:

  • Quick, premium access to event entry

  • FREE parking

  • Zero parking stress

  • Elevated mental and physical energy levels

  • Improved mood

Just like a healthy bicycling culture benefits the community at large generally, a bike parking corral helps mitigate the damage of SOV travel to specific event venues by lessening traffic congestion, increasing safety of the surroundings by taking cars off the road, and reducing localized noise and air pollution. We are proud to offer these services to the community, and grateful to our partners who hire our team to park bikes at their events.

Valet bike parking is back with volunteer opportunities every month from now until January. Join us by volunteering, or come out and park your bikes at one of our upcoming community events!
